A Note From our Founder
I am a registered nurse with more than 20 years of experience caring for others. My husband and I have been married for over 20 years and have two wonderful children. After living in several different states, we found our way back to Athens, where we both attended college, and we are grateful to call Georgia our forever home.
Soles of Athens started as a simple idea that I just couldn’t let go. With the encouragement and support of my family, that idea became a reality.
Our vision is to create more than just a shoe store. We want Soles of Athens to be a place where people feel welcomed, build genuine relationships, and find stylish, high-quality shoes they will love to wear. At Soles of Athens, we believe shoes can do more than complete an outfit—they can create opportunity. That’s why we’re proud to be Shoes for a Purpose. One of our children has autism and other special needs. While we are incredibly thankful for his health, we know his path to independence may look different than most. That journey has shaped the heart behind this business.
